FIRST STEPS IN BUYING A HOME

Figure out what your budget is!  What are you comfortable carrying month to month when you add up expenses.  With changing mortgage rates it is always good to sit down with an advisor,   your credit, employment history, income as well as debt all play a factor in your pre approval amount.

CREATE A PLAN

Now is the time to sit down with your realtor and discuss your needs and wants. Explore different neighbourhoods and start the shopping process. Organize your finances, be prepared to have extra saved for closing costs and have the required deposit money ready to go ( in an easily accessible account)

PREPARE FOR AN OFFER

Once you have found your FOREVER home- or your FOR NOW home it is time to discuss offer strategies.  It is my job to educate you on the current market and ensure you are comfortable with the purchase price and conditions.  I will present your offer to the sellers and negotiate our terms and conditions.

They will help you prepare a successful offer when you’ve finally found the home of your dreams, and then present the offer and negotiate on your behalf.

  • Finally your Realtor can then recommend other professionals such as lawyers, mortgage brokers and home inspectors to make sure your home transaction completes as smoothly as possible
